This afternoon we had the ISYM trumpet studio visit the Sousa Archives to spend time playing some of the Center’s historical cornets, trumpets, saxhorns, post horns, and herald trumpets. We had a wonderful crew of 36 high school students and their two teachers, Kevin Kierspe and Nathanael Boston, demonstrate and explore the musical sounds of our brass collections. Special thanks to everyone for giving us the opportunity to work with the students.  We had a great time and look forward to tomorrow’s sax studio visit.
