Introduction to Scholarly Research for Undergrads

The International and Area Studies Library is pleased to announce the return of their series “Introduction to Scholarly Research,” which was developed to support undergraduate students with research projects. It is designed to help students become more comfortable with conducting research and writing academic papers.

Introduction to Scholarly Research is a multipart instruction program designed to assist students with the various stages of the research process. It is the goal of these sessions to create a supportive environment, where students can exchange ideas, share perspectives, get research support, as well as explore the innumerable possibilities of approaching a subject matter or a research project. These sessions are open to students from any discipline or academic program.

  • Session 1: Developing a Research Topic | February 10: 4:00 pm-5:00 pm CST
  • Session 2: Conducting a Literature Review | February 24: 2:00 pm-3:00 pm CST
  • Session 3: Note-taking and Documenting Sources| March 10: 2:00 pm-3:00 pm CST
