Your gift means a great deal to the Library and those who utilize its resources. We offer several convenient options for you to donate online, by mail, or over the phone.
Online
Please select the MAKE A GIFT button (above right) to make a gift online.
Library Is Looking For gifts
If purchasing Library Is Looking For gifts, choose "Other" at the bottom of the Gift Designation drop-down and write in "Library is Looking For Gifts." Then denote the specific item(s) you’re interested in funding in the Additional Gift Information field.
Shebik Challenge
To ensure your gift is made toward the Shebik $1M matching challenge, please choose "Building Transformation Fund" under Gift Designation.
Elsesser Matching Challenge
To ensure your gift is made toward the Elsesser $1M matching challenge, please choose any of the following funds under Gift Designation: Rare Book and Manuscript Library Fund; University Library Innovation, Research, and Professional Development Fund; University Library (UL) Student Worker Fund; or University Library (UL) Graduate Student Worker Fund. Please write “Elsesser Match” under the Additional Gift Instructions.
Past Meets Present Campaing
As part of a special crowdfunding campaign launching this August, your gift will come with two rare honors: a box of original 19th-century university receipts and recognition in the Library’s 2025 time capsule. Visit go.library.illinois.edu/PastMeetsPresent.
