Classics Library Merges

Classics Library
The Classics Library is merging with the Literatures and Languages Library at the University of Illinois. The new combined unit will be called the Literatures and Languages Library. The collections of the current Literatures and Languages Library are relocating to the south end of the Reading Room in the Main Library; its circulation desk will move to the center of this space. The Reading Room will continue to be open to all scholars and students as a grand and inviting space for research and study and all existing user seating at its tables will remain in place.
The physical space of the Classics Library on the fourth floor of the Main Library permanently closed on June 10, 2016. Its collections are transitioning to the Literatures and Languages Library space in June. Retrieval of materials will be possible during the move, though the wait time is expected to take longer.
