Thanks to the generosity of Library Friends, the University Library has met its second campaign goal of $45 million –- seven months before the December 2011 target date. As of May 31, 2011, the Library has raised $45,297,130 as part of the University-wide Brilliant Futures campaign.

The Library met its first campaign goal of $30 million in June 2008.  Its goal was reset to $45 million later that year.

Brilliant Futures ( https://news.illinois.edu/view/6367/209718 ) is the largest and most ambitious campaign in the history of the University of Illinois with the goal of raising $2.25 billion for students, faculty, research, and the campus environment.
