Overview

Sound recordings, motion picture film, and video tape formats are found throughout the holdings of the University Library and Archives, but physical degradation of materials and a lack of playback machines makes these resources inaccessible to students, staff, and researchers.

Media Preservation provides consultation, conservation treatment, and reformatting/digitization services of obsolete or at-risk audio, film, and video asssets.

Digitization is accomplished in-house and in collaboration with trusted vendors.
