Description
In 2021 the Library purchased prints of Raven Chacon’s graphic scores Horse Notations and most of the works in his For Zitkála Šá series including [1] For Cheryl L’Hirondelle, [2] For Suzanne Kite, [3] For Carmina Escobar, [4] For Laura Ortman, [5] For Autumn Chacon, [6] For Jacqueline Wilson, [7] For Heidi Senungetuk, [8] For Barbara Croall, [9] For Ange Loft, [10] For Candice Hopkins, [11] For Buffy Sainte-Marie, [12] For Joy Harjo, [13] For Olivia Shortt.
These were created in collaboration with printmaker and lithographer Judith Baumann and published by Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, with For Zitkála Šá in a a limited edition run of 20 copies each, while Horse Notations was created in a run of only 15 copies. Prints are signed by the composer.
