About the World’s Largest Puzzle Program

Inspired by programming from Dakota State University, the University Library is inviting members of our campus and local community to join together in a common goal of completing the world’s largest puzzle. Called “What a Wonderful World,” this 60,000 piece puzzle is 29 feet across and 8 feet from top to bottom, and is composed of sixty 1,000 piece sections measuring 20 by 30 inches. Each puzzle section reveals a portion of a giant map of the world.

From December 2023-January 2024, we completed all 60 sections of the puzzle at different host sites across Champaign-Urbana. If you participated, please take our survey: https://surveys.illinois.edu/sec/2134415034

Thank you to our community partners: Institute for Genomic Biology, Esquire Lounge, Community Choices, The Urbana Free Library, Clark Lindsey Village, the Oscher Lifelong Learning Institute, and the University YMCA.
