Mary Edith Arnold has served as Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity Archivist since 1981. She contributed to the development of several corporate archives collections in Chicago, retiring in 2000 as managing archivist of the Motorola Corporate Archives. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Archivists.
Bob McCully currently serves on a volunteer basis as Historian and Archivist for Sigma Nu Fraternity. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration at San Diego University and, after doing graduate work in accounting, obtained his CPA license. He lives in Mill Valley, California and serves on the Board of Directors of the Mill Valley Historical Society and is a member of the Society of American Archivists. Prior to his retirement, he had a career in corporate finance with several major international corporations including several positions as Chief Financial Officer.
Chris Prom is the Assistant University Archivist and Associate Professor of Library Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds a Ph.D. in British History from the University of Illinois. He and has a great deal of experience managing projects to digitize and provide online access to archival resources. He has published a co-edited book and numerous articles in archival journals relating to these topics. During the 2009-10 academic year, he was awarded a Fulbright Distinguished Scholar award. He used the award to complete research at the Center for Archive and Information at the University of Dundee, Scotland, concerning the topic “Practical Approaches to Identifying, Preserving, and Providing Access to Electronic Records.”
Ellen D. Swain is Associate Professor of Library Administration and Archivist for Student Life and Culture at the University Archives, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) where she administers the Student Life and Culture Archival Program, an endowed program dedicated to documenting student experience nationally and at UIUC. She received her MA in American History from Indiana University and MS in Information Science from UIUC. Her research and publications center on oral history as research methodology, documentation strategies, and integration of primary sources in the classroom.
Jennifer Hain Teper has served as Head of the Conservation Unit for the University Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 2001 and since 2009 has is also interim head of Preservation. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in August of 2000 with a MLIS and Certificate of Advanced Study in the Conservation and Preservation of Library and Archival Materials. Before her appointment at the University of Illinois she has worked at the University of Texas Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, the University of Pittsburgh Library, the New York Botanical Gardens Library, and the University of Kentucky Audio-visual archives. She has a particular interest in scrapbook preservation and treatment and has overseen a large historical scrapbook survey and repair project at the University of Illinois, and well as lectured and written on the topic.
Noraleen A. Young serves as the staff archivist for Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity. Noraleen received her B.A. in American History/American Studies in 1983 and a Master in Library Science in 1984 from the University of Michigan, concentrating in special libraries and archives. In 1992, she completed her M.A. in Public History at Indiana University at Indianapolis. From 1984 to 1991, Noraleen was a Reference Librarian at the Indiana State Library, Indiana Division where she provided reference services, worked in manuscripts and developed exhibits and programs. In 1991, she began her own consulting business, Past to Present, and works for several clients including Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity. Noraleen has a particular interest in the important role of non-profit groups and their contributions to society over the years. She has worked with Girl Scouts U.S.A at the national level, developing and presenting workshops on maintaining local Girl Scout history collections. Noraleen is a Certified Archivist.
