About our Blog(s)
The Student Life and Culture Archives periodically publishes blog posts; written by students and staff, they highlight items from our collections, promote upcoming archives-related events, and share interesting anecdotes from the history of the University of Illinois. Additionally, Illini Everywhere, a series of posts by former graduate assistant Sam de Sando, chronicles the history and experiences of U of I students from around the world.
Some of the blog posts presented on this site were originally published here, while others were migrated over from our old website. The mass migration process, as well as the discontinuation of support for the old site, has resulted in some posts having features that no longer function as designed. If you are having issues accessing any individual post, or would like to suggest a correction, please email illiarch@illinois.edu.
As of January 2024, a new blog platform, based on publish.illinois.edu, is under development.
