The Blondheim Judaica Digital Library

Collection on Internet Archive

The Blondheim Judaica Digital Library is a digital collection curated by the Slavic Reference Service. It contains digitized (pre-copyright) works related to international Judaica which were published in books, reference materials, pamphlets, and other print formats. It is open to researchers from around the world. This collection was developed as a repository for works found in David S. Blondheim’s bibliography Book of Jewish Interest in the Library of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The collection’s importance stems from its unique, trans-national perspective on print Judaica and related matters. The Blondheim Judaica Digital Library will also serve as an additional resource for scholars to engage with digitized bibliographies in an interdisciplinary and cross-scholarly fashion, a pattern of use that (we hope) will define scholarly research and usage of bibliographies moving forward.
