Events

The Slavic Reference Service hosts or co-hosts a variety of events including our online Research Forum series (focusing on the Baltics, Central Asia, and the Caucasus), the Dmytro Shtohryn International Ukrainian Studies Conference, the 2024 Association for Women in Slavic Studies Biennial Conference, Research and Language Learning workshops, our Meet the National Libraries series, and more. We also host several events aimed in particular towards graduate students and early career scholars including our annual SEEES Dissertation Research Workshop.

The SRS occasionally also develops displays and exhibits for the Main Library, with recent exhibits focusing on topics such as the ‘100th Anniversary of the Russian Revolution’ and ‘Jewish Studies Symposium at the University of Illinois.’

Much of our programming is held virtually and open to the public.
