- For in-person assistance, ask at the Circulation and Reserves Desk on the first floor.
Printers

- Printers: Immediately to the right after entering, there are five printers, one color and four black-and-white.
- Large-format printing: One printer near the Circulation Desk supports large-format printing up to 11×17 inches.
Printing options

Library computers on the first floor connect to the printers and support double-sided (duplex) printing.
- Duplex printing: You can print double-sided from library computers, or by selecting a Web Print queue that ends with “2-sided.”
- Web printing: Web Print supports single-sided and two-sided printing; files over 100 MB will be rejected.
- Charges: Web Print jobs are charged per page, not per sheet of paper.
- Large jobs: Web Print can accept documents over 50 pages. Files over 100 MB will still be rejected.
- Large-format (11×17): The 11×17 queues now accept only 11×17-sized documents.

First Floor Computer Software
Windows PCs and laptop docks are available on the first floor. Four computers are available for public use. All computers can access the internet. Software supports data analysis, assistive technology, and productivity.

Remote Desktop and UIUC AnyWare

You can use Remote Desktop to connect to UIUC AnyWare to use specialized programs (e.g., Adobe Suite, ArcGIS, SPSS).
- On library computers, Remote Desktop Connection is in the Accessories folder on the Start Menu.
- Problems with Remote Desktop can be reported at the Circulation Desk in Grainger Engineering Library.

Grainger Engineering Library supports users with visual and print disabilities through hardware and software on the first floor:

- Optelec ClearView Video Magnifier: Magnifies print on a large monitor. Adjustable brightness and contrast can improve readability for textbooks, handouts, and notes.

Fourth Floor
Grainger Engineering Library’s fourth floor houses the main Engineering Workstation (EWS) labs and additional printers. Information about software on EWS computers is available from Engineering IT.

- 45 dual-monitor stations are in the central area near the elevator.
- The area to the right of the elevator has 39 computers with dual monitors.
Printers

- Two networked printers are near the elevators.
- They connect to EWS computers and support double-sided printing.
- Send your print job from an EWS computer, then release it at either printer.
