The Grainger Engineering Library Information Center opened on March 15, 1994. The building has 92,000 square feet of assignable space and includes reading, seminar and conference rooms as well as group and scholar study spaces.
The fourth floor contains Open Group Study Rooms 405-415 (walk-in and by reservation), CARE Group Study Rooms 401-404, an EWS Windows Lab, the Center for Academic Resources in Engineering (CARE), the Writer’s Workshop, and Scholar Studies rooms.
The third floor contains Stacks, Conference Rooms, and Study Carrels.
The second floor contains the Grand Gallery, Stacks, the Engineering Documents Collection, the Commons, Study Carrels, the West Pavilion Gallery, and the East Pavilion Gallery.
The first floor contains the Circulation and Reference Desks, the Reserves Collection, Current Periodicals and Standards, Computers, and the Staff Area.
The lower level contains the IDEA Lab, Open Group Study Rooms 040A, 040B, 040C and 040D, Vending Machines, and the Computer-Based Testing Facility (CBTF).
