Digitization Services

Digitization Services is responsible for reformatting print and paper material in support of the Library’s mission to provide preservation and access to its digital collections.

Please note, Digitization Services offices will be closed from December 20th through January 4th — we will return on Monday, January 5th.

Digitization Services Goals

  • Create high-quality digital surrogates for long-term digital preservation of the Library’s collections
  • Open access to print and paper collections in the Library
  • Provide reproduction services in support of research and scholarship.
  • Serve the Library by providing consultation and leadership in the planning and management of digital projects

  • Digitization Services works exclusively with the University of Illinois Library collections.  Our services are dedicated to providing digital access and preservation for the collections prioritized by the Library.
