Description

Facsimiles of tunebooks and other publications about music from the period, assembled by Hall while researching his dissertation “The Tunebook in American Culture 1800-1820”, (Univ. of Pennsylvania, 1967). The dissertation serves as a continuation of a bibliography of American tunebooks compiled by Allan P. Britton for the period from 1780-1800.
