Come join us for a series of workshops for first- and second-year students offered during Fall 2021 and Spring 2022! Learn core academic research, reading, and writing skills, and type for coping and adjusting to college life including mental health and time management, daily planning, and organizational skills. Many events are explicitly fun and playful, to help build community and manage stress productively.
Scheduled events include:
- Intro to Research Series – Covering everything from Preparing for Your Research Assignment to Completing Your Research Assignment
- Academic Reading – Learn tips for effectively managing large reading assignment, including understanding how to approach peer-reviewed and scientific literature used in your classes
- Stress relieving activities – Take a break from studying to de-stress and learn important self-care skills; current sessions include Dog Therapy, Zumba, and healthy eating study breaks
