Find Specific Publications and Articles

Find a Specific Article Online

Whether you are looking for an article online or in print, it is important that you have as much of the citation information as possible, which may include:

  • Author
  • Article Title
  • Name of Journal
  • Volume
  • Issue
  • Date of Publication
  • Page Numbers

Search for Journal/Magazine/Newspaper Titles

  1. Go to: Online Journals and Databases.
  2. Enter the title of the source that you need and click the red Go button.

Browse Titles by Subject

You can also browse journals or newspapers alphabetically.

  1. Go to: Online Journals and Databases.
  2. Click the Subject tab above the search box.
  3. Select the best match from the subject menu. A list of subcategories will appear. Select a relevant subcategory and click the red Go button.
  4. To view electronic journals from multiple subject areas concurrently, press the Ctrl key on your keyboard, then select other subcategories, and then click the red Go button.

If you can’t find the e-journal you need, please keep in mind that some journals are only available in print, and not online.

Find a Specific Article in Print

  1. Go to: Library Catalog: Journal Search.
  2. Enter the title of the magazine, journal, or newspaper in the search box.
  3. From the results list, click on the magazine, journal, or newspaper title.
  4. Note the following information in the results screen: Location, Call Number, Library Has (Volumes), and Availability.
