There have been many innovations and advances at the UGL over the decades, especially in the area of technology. Since 2000, the UGL began piloting new services, including:
- ereserves
- a media collection that circulated to patrons (not just faculty)
- loanable technology
- social media
- mobile technology and development of mobile applications
- learning commons
- media commons, video and audio production studios
- virtual reality
The UGL has also modified its services, spaces and furniture according to student needs. The pages in this section provide highlights of some of the changes and innovations at the UGL over the decades
