Joe Lenkart

  • Outreach at Sci Fi movie event at union– March 9. Author Elizabeth Bear will speak.
    • Scott Koeneman and Heather Murphy suggested that next year, for the sake of traffic in the library that this event be in Grainger, or ACES next year to get traffic in the library. The union was chosen because of the traffic it does get and the outreach could have access to more people.

David Ward

  • SpringShare implemented – finishing entering loanable technology information
  • Goal to soft launch Media Commons space – summer 1 switching UGL
  • Events calendar will be a component of SpringShare
  • Robert Slater looking at how to do updates to phase out Dibs
  • Consulting – meeting with Tom Habing – his directory system is about ready. A middleware piece lists everyone doing consultations.
  • Stared chat i-Wonder investigations
  • SpringShare and library help training sessions in April

Jason Strutz

  • To move forward with the emergency site, need to know what content should be on the site
  • Hourly Job apps – on radar
  • Voyager and Windows 10 login not working. They do not know how to fix this – Circ. machines
  • ACES, UGL, Grainger have machines already logged in no password needed for public use.
  • Exchange is moving to Office 365 – email will be on the cloud
  • In April, every on in DCL will have Office 365
  • Microsoft Teams will be replacing Skype
  • Will need 2-factor authentication to use webmail
  • Banner will be upgraded to Banner 9 this summer – will be a significant upgrade – will get rid of Java
  • John Laskowski has a proposal to reconvene with web team to work on broken links

  • RFP is out for New ILS
    • CARLI has a pool of 2 people – timeline of summer 2019
    • Demo by May

Sarah

  • Public Engagement data – last heard was going to be incorporated to events calendar
  • SpringShare will help with tracking
  • Student ambassadors had first meeting on Wednesday at 7-10 pm
    • Heather Murphy talked to them
    • They will work of READ posters
  • Edible Book festival is coming up – Robert Slater is helping with the site.
  • Working with Paula Carns to create a poetry event – perhaps at Café Kopi to increase attendance – April?
  • Piper Martin is helping with ambassadors; Jessica LaCrone is helping some
  • Keeley Scott, GA, is creating an audio tour that will go up on iTunes
    • Also thinking of an online virtual tour
  • Working on Wayfinding
