  1. Review brainstorming document on vision and philosophy for Library spaces

    2. The team discussed the challenges of designing Library spaces, which can’t be all things to all people.  There was some discussion of ways to design for needs across spaces. Flexibility in design, and how to communicate the intent of a space to users were discussed, as well as examples of spaces students have asked for in prior studies.
  2. Identify next steps based on brainstorming document
    1. Identify priorities and timeline
      1. The team decided to conduct an audit of prior space design projects to see what we have already learned.  Options for groups to partner with across campus were also discussed.  There was interest in researching the concept of libraries as “third spaces.”  The team agreed to mark up the brainstorming document on philosophy of space use to determine overall priorities for next steps.
