Statistics

Each cataloger does not keep a running tally of the number of items he or she catalogs for the project. However, each cataloger does keep statistics, on a monthly basis, of the number of original records created and the number of OCLC records enhanced. Also, statistics are to be kept of non-project books that are cataloged in the course of normal workflow. For example, if a cataloger pulls a Dewey book from the collection because they have an added copy, and they find that the existing Voyager record needs to be replaced or modified in any way, the Dewey book should be counted as a title cataloged with the Mellon Project statistics.
