How to Print to PDF

PC with Windows7 or later

  1. Open the file.
  2. Choose print.
  3. Under printer select “Adobe PDF” or “doPDF v7”.
  4. Click “Print”.
  5. You will be prompted to save the file.  Give the file a name and select a destination.  Click “ok”.
  6. The file has now been converted to a pdf and can be uploaded to the Library’s web printing website.

Mac 10.8 or later

  1. Open the “File” menu and select “Print”.
  2. Click on the “PDF” button on the bottom left.
    Printer: No printer selected. Copies: 1. Pages: all. Pdf, show details, cancel, print.
  3. Select “Save as PDF”.
    Pdf: Open pdf in preview, save as pdf, save as postscript, fax pdf, add pdf to itunes, mail pdf, save pdf, to web receipts folder, edit menu.
  4. Choose where you would like to save the PDF and give the file a name.
    Save as: pdf. Where: desktop. Title. Author. Subject. Keywords. Security options... Cancel. Save.
  5. The file can now be uploaded to the Library’s web printing website.
