John and William Cary made and sold this globe in London on January 1, 1800. The Cary globe and its exhibit case were purchased in the spring of 1985 through the generosity of the University of Illinois Library Friends at Urbana-Champaign. It is located in the Rare Books and Manuscript Library in 346 Library.
