Find movies and other recordings on DVD or video cassette using the main Illinois online catalog. If you're looking for a specific title, the best way to find it is via the catalog's Quick Search screen. Simply type in the title you're looking for, select "Start of Title" from the "Search by:" list, and select "Films/Videos" from the "Quick Limit" dropdown, like so:
The largest collection of circulating (i.e. available-for-checkout) DVDs is in the second floor underground of the Undergraduate Library. When a DVD is in the collection, its location will be noted as "Undergraduate Media Collection." If its status is "Available," that means it's on the shelf and can be checked out. Note also the call number, which is needed to find the item on the shelf.
Items in the Undergraduate Library's circulating DVD collection can be checked out for 1 week. Most items can be renewed 3 times. Undergraduate students may check out up to 5 media titles at a time.
