Find an Article Not at Illinois

How to obtain article photocopies

Are you having trouble locating a journal article? If you've answered "yes" to the two questions below, you are eligible to request the article through our Interlibrary Loan service.

  1. Did you check the Online Research Resources database to see if your article is available in online? Watch a video to learn more.
  2. Did you check the online catalog to see if the title is available in print? If it is, you need to get yourself a copy card and make a photocopy of the article at the departmental library where the journal is located.

Now, if your article is not available online AND the University Library does not have a print copy (e.g. we don't subscribe to that title, that issue is missing or has been sent to the bindery), you may use our Interlibrary Loan service.
