ATLAS provides information technology services that support and enhance the educational, research and administrative activities of students, faculty, and staff in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois. Some services available for a fee for those not affiliated with LAS.

FedStats 

FedStats gathers statistics from more than 70 agencies United States Federal Government. “The Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the full range of statistics and information.”

FedWorld

From the Department of Congress, and managed by the National Technical Information Services (NTIS), FedWorld is a gateway to government information. It is a directory of government departments and information services.

Numeric and Spatial Data Services

This service is a joint project of the University Library and Applied Technologies for Learning in the Arts and Sciences (ATLAS), and is available to everyone on campus. Services offered include: acquiring data sets needed for teaching and research; locating, downloading and preparing data for secondary analysis; and identifying and creating course materials and teaching tools.

ProQuest Statistical Datasets 

Includes 640 datasets in 14 disciplines, ranging from health, crime and population to finance and industry. Source of data include many U.S. government agencies and international organizations, as well as several major stock exchanges.

ProQuest Statistical Insight 

Provides access to statistics produced by federal agencies, states, and intergovernmental organizations. Provides links to full text datasets and tables or location information for accompanying Government Documents microfiche.

Social Sciences Statistical Information 

Statistical information resources from the Social Sciences, Health, and Education Library. Focus is on the social sciences and education, but includes data resources from various government departments.

Statistical Abstract of the United States 

Published by the federal government, the Statistical Abstract pulls statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States from Census data, various Federal Agencies, and private organizations.

Statistics and Numerical Data 

List of statistical resources from the Government Documents librarians. Most resources are freely accessible government documents, but others are in subscription databases. Groupings include demographic information, social science data, economics, and business.

UNdata 

Service that retrieves data series from statistical databases provided by the UN.

World Bank Open Data 
Download access to over 7,000 indicators from World Bank data sets.
