The University of Illinois Library is home to numerous special collections from different world regions and in various languages, on numerous subjects, and dating from several historical periods. Graduate assistants are continuously digitizing these collections to publish them on the platform Scalar. These curated guides are intended for emerging scholars and designed to raise awareness of unique materials in many formats held at the Library and other institutions. The scans are meant to provide a snapshot of the contents in each collection. Patrons can use them to identify articles or chapters that may be of interest to them.
