Statement of Purpose

This Web Site was developed by library faculty of the Arts and Humanities Division in the effort to emphasize those features of these disciplines which, in terms of their needs, set them apart from other broad disciplines, such as the Physical and Biological Sciences and the Social Sciences. The Web Site is also intended to publicize cross-disciplinary programs on this campus which primarily involve the Arts and Humanities Division libraries. In continuing to build on the internationally renowned arts and humanities collections of this campus, which have been nurtured since the founding of the university, the contributions of the Arts and Humanities Division's librarians and staff benefit the entire university community.
