UGL Available Services and Booking Appointments
The Undergraduate Library is offering select in-person services on a limited basis in Fall 2020, including study space, media production studios, and loanable technology access. Health and safety for students and staff are prioritized in the delivery of all of our services. Please see the Library COVID-19 FAQ [https://www.library.illinois.edu/geninfo/covid-19/] for information on PPE usage, social distancing, cleaning, and other requirements for access to any UGL spaces and services.
All services and collections must be requested in advance, using the links below. There is no walk-up access to any services or collections in the Undergraduate Library.
We are providing digital access to collections whenever possible. For health and safety, there are no options to physically browse any collections in the Undergraduate Library.
There will be limited options for scheduling pickup of books, DVDs, and video games. See https://guides.library.illinois.edu/librarycatalog/request-renew for information on how to search the library catalog, and how to place a request for an item. The Main Library and Grainger Engineering Library are the two available pickup locations for library materials.
The Ask a Librarian service [https://www.library.illinois.edu/ask-us/] is available for immediate help with questions about finding specific items, or learning about searching research tools in specific disciplines.
Loanable Technology – Cameras, audio recorders, lighting kits, and more to help you create high quality audio and video.
Audio and Video Production Studios – Record your next project in one of our state of the art studio spaces.
Research and Writing (RAW) Consultations – Save time with by creating a writing plan, developing your arguments, and discovering peer reviewed resources for your next paper.
Individual Study Rooms and Study Tables are available. Quiet study space is available for individuals by appointment. No group (2 or more people) study space is available this Fall. Some campus classrooms are also available for studying when not hosting classes.
