Description
Total of 140 scores and editions of contemporary music donated in December 1982; 96 items delivered in July 1993 (including 93 scores, two issues of the periodical Living Music, and a set of instructions for T. Ichiyanagi’s Music for Electric Metronomes). Many scores are works by former University of Illinois students and School of Music faculty. “These items will enrich the holdings in 20th century composition, including international publications as well as the work of some of the students who studied here …It also documents some of the contemporary music making here at the university.” (Letter, William McClellan, 2 Aug 93; Collections File)
