Proust Society of America : the Society presents several lectures, hosts reading discussion groups, and holds a dinner talk on Proust’s birthday.

General literary societies and events

Fabula.org : Fabula is an extraordinary web resource for literary studies. See in particular their very detailed “calendrier” section, which lists upcoming conferences and calls for papers.

Nineteenth Century French Studies Association : an annual conference is held for research presentations and discussions, as well as the bestowal of an award to an outstanding graduate student.

20th and 21st Century French and Francophone Studies International Colloquium : the 2009 conference will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Modern Language Association : MLA holds a four day conference every year in December.  The Association has roughly 30,000 members and the conventions typically draw 8 to 10,000 participants.

Midwest Modern Language Association : this regional arm of the MLA holds a convention each year in November.

Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association :  PAMLA holds an annual conference in November and publishes the journal Pacific Coast Philology .

Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association : RMMLA holds a conference each year in October.  Their website has wealth of information on submitting proposals for article publications, conference papers, and grants.

South Central Modern Language Association : SCMLA has an annual November convention, with some publication information on the website.
