May 2026 Library Pulse Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent pulse survey on emergency preparedness that closed on May 28, 2026. 

We received 110 responses, representing a 39% response rate from current Library faculty, civil service, and academic professionals. 

May Survey Question:  

Which training topics would you be most interested in attending? Select up to 3. 
These workshops would be developed and offered by Library Organization Development & Training (ODT).

Respondents selected the following topics, listed in order of highest to lowest number of votes:

Eight respondents selected “Other” and provided brief written suggestions. The most common theme was a desire for communication skills training, mentioned in three comments. Additional themes included customer service skills, managing burnout, and civility in the workplace.

Library Organization Development & Training (ODT) will use this data to shape upcoming workshops. ODT will prioritize topics based on the highest rated needs and plans to research and develop two new sessions over the fall, with the first offerings in early Spring 2027.
