UC Comics Colloquium
The U-C Comics Colloquium was founded in 2019 to bring together scholars, students, librarians, and creators in the Urbana-Champaign area to discuss comics and comics scholarship. A community of acafans, the colloquium highlights new trends in comics scholarship, and innovations in comics publishing and delivery.

- Titan Games – Local game store with regular trading card game, miniatures game, and tabletop roleplaying game events and a selection of games to try for free in-store in the Champaign area.
- Gopher Games – Local game store with regular trading card game and miniatures game events in the Urbana area.
- Enchantment Alley – Local metaphysical/game store with regular trading card game and tabletop roleplaying game events.
- Cudo Plays – Local board game design competition hosted by the Champaign-Urbana Design Organization. They teach workshops, run playtests, and host gaming events.
- AMC Champaign 13 – Cineplex with 3D & jumbo digital screens showing first-run films, opera productions & sports events.
- Savoy 16 + IMAX – Movie theater known for presenting 3D films on a giant screen, including blockbusters.
- Roger Eberts Film Festival at the Virginia Theater – Film festival celebrating films, genres, and formats that have been overlooked by distributors, audiences, and/or critics. These include independent, international, and studio films that did not win wide audiences, overlooked formats such as 70mm, and overlooked genres such as documentaries and musicals.
- The Canopy Club – Live music venue/bar with both weekly music events and larger concerts.
