The Illinois Digital Newspaper Project at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign digitized 100,000 pages of newspaper content representing geographically and demographically diverse Illinois communities. The titles were selected through a proposal process open to all Illinois libraries and cultural heritage repositories. The Illinois Digital Newspaper Project has contributed over 500,000 pages of newspaper content to the National Digital Newspaper Program since 2009.
