Building Project Reaches Milestones

At press time, the first phase of the building project (transforming the existing Undergraduate Library into an archives and special collections building dedicated for rare and archival collections) was on the agenda for the January 20, 2022 meeting of the University of Illinois’ Board of Trustees for approval. This comes after the project met several important milestones: the architect/engineering firms submitted the final schematic design documents on December 10, 2021, and the Library successfully secured funding for Phase One construction.
