Printing

The Library Exhibitions Committee offers up to $200 per exhibit for exhibit supplies and printing. Printing is preferably done through UIUC Document Services. It is possible to use Kinko’s or another shop, but the exhibitor must pay up-front and submit an original receipt to the committee for reimbursement.

To print using Exhibitions Committee funding:

  1. Printing orders must be submitted a minimum of 7 days in advance of the exhibit opening.
  2. Prepare files used Document Services’ preparation tips.
  3. Upload formatted documents to Box and share with excom@library.illinois.edu.
  4. The Exhibitions Committee will work with Document Services to get the order placed and paid for.
  5. If the cost of a printing job will exceed the $200 allotment, the Committee may request that exhibitors change the print size or quantity to lower the cost.

Help Preparing Materials for Exhibit

The Conservation Unit of the Library offers a number of services to assist in the preparation of exhibitions, such as creating book cradles and window mats, and encapsulating photographs and single sheets of paper. Conservation must be contacted at least 8 weeks in advance of exhibit installation.
