Summary
The SRS graduate hourly will assist the core reference team with planning, implementation, and development of SRS digital collections and tools, including the Khvoshchinskaya Sisters Digital Collection, aimed at Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies students, faculty, independent researchers, librarians, and visiting scholars.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain project documentation;
- Transfer digitized content into project management system and create metadata for titles in digital collections;
- Document cross-team efforts using excel spreadsheets;
- Maintain project site and oversee quality control.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with web design and web content management systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience working with digitized content and digital collections
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with general or specialized user groups
- Knowledge of any Slavic, Baltic, Caucasian, or Turkic languages of Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
- Enrolled as Graduate Student in the School of Information Sciences Master’s program for Library and Information Sciences or in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies
