Evert Kincaid Collection

In 2003, Bruce Kincaid donated to CPLA the papers of his father, city planner Evert Kincaid. Evert Kincaid was born in Quincy, Illinois on July 24, 1905 and was a 1928 University of Illinois alumnus. His career included service as the city planner of San Antonio (1929-1935), land planning consultant for the Federal Housing Admininistration (1937-1941), director of the Chicago Plan Commission (1941-1948), president of Evert Kincaid & Associates (1948-1958) and director of planning for San Mateo, California (1958-1963). Kincaid died in October, 1963.
