The Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, along with Dean John Wilkin, have established a Library Consultation Working Group to review, discuss, and propose changes to both the Main Library and Undergraduate Library. This Working Group will consist of faculty members from across campus along with both a graduate and undergraduate student representative. Faculty members represent the liberal arts and sciences, business, and library and information sciences.
The Working Group will provide strategic input that addresses collection preservation, enhancements to the Library building and its interior, as well as scholar and student access to collections, tools, services, and programs that support creative inquiry across all areas of campus. In addition, the Group will consider access to and preservation of rare and archival collections currently lacking a central, dedicated space to ensure secure, climate-controlled storage, as well as first-rate exhibit and instructional space.
