Scope and Contents: The Griffin family resided in Cass, Menard, and Morgan Counties, Ill. This collection includes correspondence between Alf Griffin and his son, Eleizer, in which they discuss family matters, as well as essays and stories written by Alf and Genevieve Griffin. The collection also contains drawings by, and photographs of, Genevieve, and a printed copy of the play "The Deacon," in which Genevieve acted in at Monticello Seminary in 1901.
James Walling, of Urbana, Ill., donated this collection to the Survey in 1976.
