This collection contains business correspondence and documents of James O'Hara, a Pittsburgh merchant, and his agent, Joseph McFerron. The records mainly concern the Upper Mississippi Valley and correspondents include James Morison, Pierre Chouteau, and Pierre Menard. The original materials are in the Denny-O'Hara Family Papers at the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania.
