In keeping with our mission to create an open and inclusive community that values a multitude of viewpoints and cultivates a desire to understand and expand social awareness, Multicultural Parent Advisory Group (MPAG) is hosting an evening discussion session based on a set of short readings and videos.<\/p>\n

MPAG\u00a0members put together resources that demonstrate the act of making a person who might be seen as “other” as real, not a stereotype. By learning a person’s story and making connections, we get to know each\u00a0other better.<\/p>\n

Most of the reading material is taken from the book, Tell Me Who You Are: Sharing Our Stories of Race, Culture, and Identity<\/em>, by Winona Guo and Priya Vulchi, two recent high school graduates, who wanted to make a difference.\u00a0The book is a result of their year long trip across America interviewing over 500 people.<\/p>\n
