{"id":370,"date":"2022-07-28T15:03:48","date_gmt":"2022-07-28T15:03:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/?page_id=370"},"modified":"2025-12-15T21:12:59","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T21:12:59","slug":"request","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/instruction\/request\/","title":{"rendered":"Request an Instruction Session"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Class Support<\/h3>\n<p>The Teaching, Learning, and Academic Support library provides instruction and workshops for the programs listed below.\u00a0 Instructors who would like to schedule a session should fill out one of the forms linked below.\u00a0 We require <strong>at least 2 weeks notice<\/strong> for any new workshops to be designed, depending on needs.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re not sure which form to use, please contact us directly at <a href=\"mailto:tlas@library.illinois.edu\">tlas@library.illinois.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/instruction\/composition-i\/\"><b>Composition I classes<\/b><\/a>\u2013 Requests for course-integrated library sessions are available for Rhetoric 105, Rhetoric 101\/102, ESL 112\/115, and Communication 111\/112, as well as for Communication 101.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/instruction\/first-year-experience-classes\/\"><b>Firs<\/b><b>t year experience classes<\/b><\/a>\u2013Course integrated instruction, class guides, and workshops are available for General Studies 102, the LAS 100, 101, and 102 series, and TRIO classes.\u00a0 If you would like to discuss these options for your class, or would like to schedule something, contact Student Success Librarian, Mar\u00eda Emerson, at <a href=\"mailto:memersn2@illinois.edu\">memersn2@illinois.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>English as a Second Language<\/strong>\u2013We work with instructors on both course-integrated and self-paced learning opportunities for undergraduates enrolled in ESL 112 and 115 and graduate students enrolled in ESL 512 and 515<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.illinois.edu\/govinfo\/services\/\"><strong>Government Information<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Request workshops and course-integrated instruction sessions on finding\/using sources from the federal, state, and international governments as well as inter-governmental organizations.
