{"id":120,"date":"2022-07-08T16:05:30","date_gmt":"2022-07-08T16:05:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/?page_id=120"},"modified":"2025-12-18T15:46:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T15:46:31","slug":"instruction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/instruction\/","title":{"rendered":"For Instructors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Teaching, Learning, and Academic Support supports a variety of teaching and learning needs across campus, from Freshman Composition I and first year experience courses through advanced research and scholarship preparation through the Savvy Researcher workshop series.\u00a0 This site contains a variety of course-integrated and self-paced guides supporting classes and skill development, as well as information for instructors to arrange workshops and class sessions to support their curriculum and learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<h2>Supported Instruction<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/instruction\/composition-i\/\"><b>Composition I Classes<\/b><\/a>\u2013 Requests for course-integrated library sessions and library class pages for students are available for Rhetoric 105, Rhetoric 101\/102, ESL 112\/115, and Communication 111\/112, as well as for Communication 101.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/instruction\/first-year-experience-classes\/\"><b>First year experience classes<\/b><\/a>\u2013Course integrated instruction, class guides, and workshops are available for General Studies 102, the LAS 100, 101, and 102 series, and TRIO classes.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.library.illinois.edu\/tlas\/instruction\/grad-esl\/\"><strong>English as a Second Language<\/strong><\/a>\u2013We work with instructors on both course-integrated and self-paced learning opportunities for graduate students enrolled in ESL 512, 515, 522, 525, and 592.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.illinois.edu\/govinfo\/services\/\"><strong>Government Information<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Request workshops and course-integrated instruction sessions on finding\/using sources from the federal, state, and international governments as well as inter-governmental organizations.
