- First Monday in March of the 3 rd year of Appointment
The division coordinator notifies the University Librarian in writing of his/her intention to seek another term. If the response is “yes,” the University Librarian notifies the divisional advisory committee to provide a recommendation of continuance or not for the division coordinator. If the response is “no” for the division coordinator to continue for another term, the University Librarian requests the divisional advisory committee to recommend a new coordinator.
The divisional advisory committee prepares its evaluation of the divisional coordinator. If the divisional coordinator has declined to serve an additional term, the advisory committee also prepares a recommendation for a new divisional coordinator.
- Last working day in April
The divisional advisory committee submits its evaluation and recommendation for the divisional coordinator appointment to the University Librarian.
- First week in May
The University Librarian reviews the evaluation and the recommendation from the divisional advisory committee. In the case of a recommendation of non-reappointment, the University Librarian requests that the divisional advisory committee provide a recommendation of a new coordinator by the last working day of the month of May.
- June 1-5
The University Librarian notifies the divisional advisory committee of his/her decision.
- June 6-15
The recommendation is forwarded to the Provost and the Board of Trustees for approval.
- August 16
Appointment normally begins.
