Use acronyms and abbreviations only when necessary

• Avoid if possible.
• First occurrence should spell it out with the acronym following it in parenthesis.
• Additional occurrences should use the abbreviation tag.

Abbreviation Tag

The abbreviation tag in HTML helps users remember what an acronym stands for. When completed, readers will be able to hover over the acronym with their mouse and see the full description pop up like an alt text.
