  1. Updates. Addition to the agenda
  • Committee membership
    • Still has two vacancies.
    • Jen talked with three divisions that currently have no representatives. All have candidates for committee.
    • EC will choose representatives from names submitted. Waiting on one division to have a meeting on who to nominate for the position.
    • Hoping to have two new members next meeting.
    • Decision to wait until the new committee members join to decide on what projects to undertake for the year.
  • Position request
    • Request for a library specialist to assist with assessment.
    • CPS request for graphic designer and events coordinator. E-learning.
    • New hire: Janice Sheerer, likely to end up doing assessment within her department.
  • Sweeps Weeks dates
    Fall 2019: October 14-20 (8th week)
    Spring 2020: March 2-8 (7th week) (discussion: Would the week after the spring break/9th week be better for sweeps?)
    • Reminder that sweeps week is a typical week, not an unusually busy week.
    • Spring sweeps are always slower than the Fall.
    • Proposal to collect on the 9th week in Spring to get a better idea of median stats. Possibility of even collecting on the 7th and the 9th and averaging between the two.
  • 4th Library Assessment Forum tentative date: March 12, 2020 (Thursday) 10 am to noon
    • Internal staff development.
    • After sweeps week, time to discuss the statistics collected. Also time for LAC grant recipients to report on their project.
    • Would take place in room 106.

  • Decision to review project, but no decisions will be made until new members have been added.
  • Discussion of potential projects and where they fit within the strategic plan. (List in Box document.)
