- Approval of October 2 minutes (see G:/Social Sciences Division/MINUTES/DRAFT Minutes).
- Approved as amended.
- Announcements and Discussion Items:
- Dean Wilkin provided some guidance over the budget for the next year based on his meeting with the Provost: It is very probable that there would not be any reduction. There will be a salary increase of 2% (merit based). As for the collection, the inflation plus 1% will be covered. When you have a vacancy, see the position beyond one division but more as a library resource.

- Laila will be in Sudan for six weeks for her UN work.
- One person going up for tenure from the Area Studies Division
- Collection Development Committee (Ingold)
- Encouraged to spend the collection money quickly as we have a shorter cycle this year
- Package of resources from Gale (presented by Cindy) – Tom needs our input. Cindy sought feedback about the spreadsheet that she distributed earlier (Gale Primary Source)
- Discussed which bundle(s) division members would want

- Hosted an exhibit to celebrate the black history month in February
- Hosted the St. Elmo Brady film and Talk Feb. 24, 3-4 pm, 126 iSchool

- Finished reading all annual reports
- Will look at 4Y cases and provide feedbacks

- Currently discussing training for new GAs for the fall semester
- LibChat – discussing some problems (e.g. what happens to the data when the person leaves). Nancy suggested to develop a plan with regards to archiving transcripts for research purposes later (e.g. how long they can be archived and where they should be stored)

- Romero: College is renovating some classrooms in the building.
- JJ: 109 is almost ready for launch. Worked with Peg Burnette to create an exhibit on the “systematic review” process. Currently chair of EQ. A Covid19 Libguide will be available soon.
- Cindy: One more instruction next week. Elected to be a senate. EC just approved the Academic Professional position for diversity officer, and Cindy is the chair of the search committee.
- Nancy: Three instruction sessions, two after the spring break (a little unusual for the College of Education). Reminded that ALA early bird registration is March 15.
- Hagman: The exhibit at the Marshall Gallery is coming down today ( “Crossing the Skyline: Architecture, Literacy, and Incarceration”). Led a qualitative research workshop at Savvy Research workshop. Serving on a search committee for the Undergraduate Teaching & Learning Librarian position.
- Lynne: New Libguide on Brexit is available now. Working on the LGBTQ guide for European Studies. Plans to present a paper in Dublin, Ireland, in April.
- Chris: Done with the instruction for the semester. Continuing to do more instructions each semester.
- Yali: Library Assessment Committee will have two forums (March 12 & April 16). Working with other social worker librarians for an ACRL webinar. Working on a Social Work Exhibit.
