Reflection Rooms

  • David wants to know what are campus’ plans
  • David had a meeting w/ IT – lighting ready, furniture, and tech. Need to talk to JJ and DRES – just working on security details then will do marketing
  • JJ may want to do a survey for reflection rooms

 

Printing

  • Spring went smoother than August
  • PaperCut ver.18.05 coming out on March 30 – by Tech Services
  • IT will make necessary updates after finals
  • Patrons are not expected to be affected.
  • IT will look carefully at release to make sure things run smoothly
  • David says students are currently avoiding IlliniCash. He expects usage to pick up after incoming classes are trained to use it.
  • Printing on the first floor is repeatedly suggested in surveys.

 

Commencement Weekend

  • He building will be open
  • Advancement will have a table near the bronze tablets
  • Cherie will be at the ceremony
  • There will be someone to work the drop box (busy day for returns)
  • Cherie will ask for volunteers to be here and to talk about the library

 

Voyager RFP

  • Expecting a decision in May

 

Scheduling Software

  • Had training yesterday
  • Scholarly commons wants to use talked about policies
  • Megean O. is working on a service agreement
  • UGL wants to go day 1 of summer 1 or June 1
  • Regarding e-Vents – David still has questions – July 1 forward – using new software – should be a new person in place replacing Beth Woodard.

 

Scholarly Commons/220

  • Programming statement – furniture, equipment, IT needs – will go to EC soon – moving forward

 

First Floor Service Point

  • Delayed because of historical/preservation of building.
  • Plans were reconfigured and in review to keep architectural continuity.
  • Earliest May of 2019 – may mean construction during fall and possibly spring semester
  • Campus IT component – Cherie and Sarah will talk to campus IT

 

Outreach and Engagement

  • Moving forward
  • Looking into having musicians/events this summer outside of UGL on the north side where the tables are.

 

Oak Street Inventory Software

  • Jason – Oak Street Inventory software – Purchasing said no because cost over time.
  • Mary Laskowski is talking to Purchasing.

  • Beth asked if there is a campus or library policy for unattended bags
    • No policies
    • Departments determine their own protocol
